Self Help Guides

Have an invention? We recommend the following self help books:

The following self help books are posted as a service to inventors who do not have the resources to contract a patent attorney.  We do not recommend that patent applications be filed without getting the assistance of a patent attorney, yet we understand that some inventors cannot afford to hire a patent lawyer.

If you only have the funds to buy one book, we strongly recommend you purchase “How to Patent It Yourself” by Nolo Press. Note, this recommendation in no way suggest that you will be competent to write a valid patent after reading the book, yet it will give you some insight as to how a patent should be written. If you insist on writing your own patent, please read the book carefully, for what ever you initially submit will be the meets and bounds of your intellectual property.

We have also posted other books that will help you see how other famous inventors developed their inventions. You can read about Telsa and see how being a creative genius does not directly correlate with having financial success. On the other hand, you can also read about Edison, a man who managed to be one of the greatest inventor entrepreneurs.

Please enjoy the suggested self help books. Should you decide that you want us to help you write your application, please do not hesitate to contact us (305) 362-8118.
